My Story

Projects/credits

Heather, a CT native, has been practically singing since she took her first breath, growing up in a musical family, with both of her parents being in a band.  This molded her to become the multi-instrumentalist, but specifically the vocalist she is and is the reason for many of her influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Hendrix, Billy Joel, Janis Joplin, Bette Midler and Heart… just to name a few.   After many years of performing in church and all city choirs, Heather joined her first band at the age of 17, a wedding band called The Islanders.  She then went on to start other successful projects, beginning with an acoustic duo called Eclipse.  Her next musical endeavor was the creation of Highfield, a rock cover band who has been on the local scene for 10 years and counting.  Heather recorded her freshman album with her original modern blues/rock band, Chemical Z – who had gotten the ear of Grammy award winning artist, Doug Wimbish, of Living Colour.  Via Doug’s WimBash music fests, Heather has taken the stage as part of the WimBash All-Stars on numerous occasions across the state as well as at NAMM 2016 in Anaheim, CA – performing with artists including Doug, Living Colour frontman Corey Glover, Paul Pesco (Madonna, Daryl’s House…), Mark Rivera (Billy Joel), Daru Jones (White Stripes), Oli Herbert (All That Remains), Rocky Bryant (Dianne Reeves, The Family Stand…), Marc Ribler, Cliff Carter, and many others.

Heather is often compared to the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Janis Joplin and Ann Wilson.  However, anyone who has heard her will tell you there is no limit to her vocal prowess.  It’s been said “She goes from singing a heart wrenching, throat biting rendition of Led Zeppelins’ “Since I’ve Been Loving you”, straight into classics like Etta James’  ‘At Last’, and beautiful ballads like Alicia Keys’  ‘Ain’t Got You’ without a hiccup!” “I don’t think there is a song she can’t own and sing!”
